Jasmin has over a decade of proven experience in the field of international cooperation and development. In her capacity as an advisor and implementation lead at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, she has adeptly overseen projects and funding, successfully securing co-financing from external development partners such as DFID. Jasmin has navigated and guided teams through culturally diverse countries during extended assignments, with notable experiences in South Africa, Pakistan, and most recently, in Southeastern Turkey.
Her academic journey includes earning a Master's degree in International Economics from the University of Göttingen and studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. In 2006, Jasmin volunteered at the streetfootballworld festival in Berlin, assuming the role of a team guide for the Afghanistan team. It was during this engagement that she was initially convinced of the efficacy of the "Sport-for-Development" approach.
